Heart Failure in Dogs

Just like humans, dogs can struggle with heart failure too. Heart failure is when the heart is not pumping blood properly, which can lead to fluid buildup. Right- sided congestive heart failure is when blood gets backed into the circulatory system. Left- sided congestive heart failure is when the blood backs into lungs, common symptoms are troubled breathing and coughing. This article explains more about what heart failure is and how veterinarians diagnose it. Considering this a serious condition it is highly recommended to have a your dog examined by a veterinarian in case of any concerns related to heart failure.
